An incumbent is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum in a classroom within the Child Development Center (CDC). Work includes, ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all children, while supporting their cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth, maintaining compliance with regulations and fostering positive relationships with families, staff, and College students participating in early childhood practicum experiences. Nature and Scope An incumbent reports to the director of the child development center and is responsible for the daily operations and supervision of a classroom serving infants, toddlers, or pre-school aged children.
