Position Summary:
The human resources (HR) team plays a vital role in identifying, developing, and implementing programs and systems that support The Strong’s greatest asset—its staff, volunteers, and interns. The director of HR serves as a key contributor to HR operations and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and execution of HR programs, services, and processes. This role will oversee the day-to-day leadership of 403 (b) enrollments and employee education in conjunction with third-party vendor(s). This role will also serve as a key backup for payroll processing up to four times per year. Working closely with the vice president (VP) for people and culture, this position helps translate organizational and team priorities into effective HR practices and procedures that support performance management, leadership development, employee engagement, operational excellence, and compliance.
