The School of Biomedical Engineering has a long history in, and is internationally recognised for, successfully developing integrated circuits for medical and scientific applications. The Digital Integrated Circuit (IC) Engineer supports interdisciplinary research and development activities relating to next-generation, miniature implantable biomedical chips and brain machine interfaces, by working collaboratively with academics, engineers, industry partners and postgraduate researchers.
The position provides specialist technical expertise in digital integrated circuit design, laboratory testing and performance evaluation of CMOS integrated circuits for biomedical applications. The role is responsible for contributing to circuit design solutions, conducting rigorous engineering analysis and testing, and supporting the ongoing improvement and translation of biomedical microelectronic technologies.
