Job Title

The Technologist has the overall responsibility for the coordination and performance of all exams performed in the X-ray and mammography section within Diagnostic Imaging Service.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate mammography, X-ray, C-arm, DEXA and Fluoroscopy equipment to obtain high quality examinations and provide feedback and follow-up to the supervisor/lead interpreting physician and biomedical staff.
• Submits results of inspections, evaluations, and surveys to VHA Mammography Office
• Performs and reviews quality control tasks performed by self and additional mammography technologist and immediately report any failing data and/or testing, issues or concerns to supervisor and lead technologist
