Design Engineer (AutoCAD)

Location: Northampton | Salary: £40,000–£50,000

My client is a growing specialist engineering business delivering high-quality security solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role:

You will be delivering high‑quality technical designs for electronic security solutions. You’ll take ownership of producing accurate drawings, interpreting client specifications and ensuring our system designs meet both technical and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce technical designs/drawings (AutoCAD)

Conduct desktop surveys and review specs

Create accurate, commercially viable quotations

Liaise with suppliers to specify/cost components

Drive continuous improvement in workflows

The Candidate:

Strong background in electronic security system design
