Description
Title: Deputy City Clerk (Interim)
Schedule: 4/10 schedule (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour days; Fridays off)
Duration: A few months, with potential extension or conversion
Key Responsibilities
Support preparation, posting, and distribution of City Council agendas and meeting materials
Attend City Council meetings as needed; record, transcribe, and prepare official minutes
Ensure compliance with Brown Act and Public Records Act requirements
Maintain official city records including resolutions, ordinances, contracts, and supporting documentation
Coordinate public notices, legal postings, and advertisements
Process and respond to Public Records Act (PRA) requests
Support elections, commissions, and advisory boards as needed
Serve as a liaison between departments, elected officials, and the public
