Citizens Advice Eastbourne is looking to recruit a Debt Adviser.

Salary: up to £30,852 per annum – based on experience.

Location: Eastbourne

Hours of work: 37 hours per week.

Job share: would be considered.

Contract: Initially fixed until 31 March 2027 with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to clients, supporting them through the debt advice process, including dealing with emergencies, income maximisation, budgeting advice, and helping with a debt strategy.
• Gather all information regarding the client’s financial circumstances.
• Advise the client on the range of debt solutions available to them and help them make an informed decision on how to proceed.
• Act for clients where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning.
