Position Summary: The Cytotechnologist will receive, process, screen, and issue reports on all GYN, and Non-GYN specimens. The Cytotech is expected to abide by all CAP requirements and must be able to independently maintain all policies and procedures pertaining to the performance of cytology specimens.
Qualifications: Education: - Cytotechnologist: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from CAAHEP accredited university or hospital-based program required.
Experience - A minimum of 3 years healthcare related experience required.
- Prior cytology experience in a hospital-based laboratory is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration - ASCP certification preferred.
