Operates Computed Tomography (CT) equipment. Prepares patients for exam, obtains required images for Physician to make a diagnosis. Assists in expediting patient flow and presents images for physician's diagnosis.

Job Responsibility

1. Prepares patient for examination. • Explains procedure in easy-to-understand terms based on professional knowledge to relieve patient of pre-testing anxiety. • Sets up equipment to administer the proper procedure in a timely fashion. • Ensures consent form for intravenous (IV) contrast materials is obtained. 2. Performs CT procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, thoracic, neurological, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies, etc. • Prepares patient for exam by placing patient on exam table and positioning within gantry. • Enters patient data and other pertinent information into system. • Calculates number of scans to be obtained based on patient si...
