Role Summary
The Cross Dock Site Leader (CDSL) reports to the Director of Operations. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cross-dock operations, including team leadership and efficient management of trailer and vehicle flow, staging, and inventory movement. The CDSL directs the daily activities of a high-volume yard and trailer coordination operation, with key responsibilities encompassing planning and executing the movement of inbound and outbound trailers in alignment with operational volume forecasts.
The manager ensures optimal staffing, maintains accuracy of trailer disposition and inventory records, enforces safety and security protocols, and coaches personnel on best practices. They also address all personnel-related issues and foster a positive, productive work environment.
