Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA's) administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: (1) pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence; (3) post-anesthesia care; and (4) perianesthetic and clinical support functions.
Requirements - Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Two (2) years of anesthesia care in acute setting experience preferred
- Valid state RN License (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)
- Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement (s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
