Position Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our dedicated and growing Court of Protection team within our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts department. The role is a full‑time permanent position based in Derby, UK. Reporting to the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts, the successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s Court of Protection Senior Associate to deliver person‑centred support to protected parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and representation to clients in Court of Protection cases, including applications for deputyship, statutory wills, property and finance decisions and related trust matters.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including court applications and financial reports.
• Run deputyship cases and manage cost applications.
• Handle matters relating to nursing or residential home funding, deprivation of liberty and safeguarding.
