Functions as the Unit Health Authority.
Communicates with Regional Medical Director regarding all medically related issues or problems in a prompt manner.
Elicits and records information about a patient's medical history.
Examines patients to determine general physical condition during sick call and general clinic.
Orders or performs various tests and findings on examination to make diagnosis.
Refers patients to specialty care or other practitioner for specialize treatment as indicated.
Inspects, completes, and analyzes medical records; assigns, reviews, and updated medical classifications; documents all aspects of patient care in the medical record.
Provides supervision and delegation of prescriptive authority to advanced practice providers as required.
