Job overview
Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) provide multi-disciplinary assessment, treatment and care of individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems. They provide a service to individuals from 16 years of age up to 70 years of age with a diagnosed functional mental health problem.
Main duties of the job
Clinical role
Undertake assessments of referrals/ admissions to the serviceDiagnose and formulate management plans in complex presentations.Provide management in treatment resistant and complex presentationsAssessment and management of risk including of vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety and risk of harm to others.Preparation of Mental Health Review Tribunal and Managers’ Hearings reports and attendance at subsequent hearings.Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners.
