Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary community team in the Helensville region of the Rodney District, with additional duties at the Red Beach office. The role involves delivering assessment, treatment and support to adults experiencing serious mental health issues across diverse urban and rural settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with severe or pre‑existing mental disorders.
• Teach and supervise psychiatry trainees, house officers, and medical students.
• Collaborate with community services to enhance care pathways.

Qualifications

• Vocationally registered with the Medical Council of NewZealand and current Annual Practising Certificate, or eligible for application.
