Consultant Paediatrician – Special Interest in Cardiology & Neonatology

Grade: NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant Contract Permanent.

Full time – 10 sessions per week (10 PA post with on‑call commitments).

Site: Whiston Hospital, Town Prescot.

Salary: £113,565 – £150,569 per annum

Job overview

We are looking for a Consultant Paediatrician with special interest and experience in paediatric cardiology and neonates to join a dynamic, expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

• Provide high quality acute medical care for newborns, children and young people.

• Work as part of a team of 11 consultants sharing weekend/weekday on‑call rota and act as Paediatrician of the Week and Neonatologist of the Week.

• Lead general paediatric and cardiology clinics and support the neonatal lead.
