Consultant Ophthalmologist – University Hospital Hairmyres

The opportunity has arisen to recruit two ophthalmology consultants to NHS Lanarkshire, one with a specialist interest in glaucoma and one with a subspecialty interest in oculoplastics. The successful candidate will be part of the consultant team based at University Hospital Hairmyres, providing ophthalmic care to the whole of NHS Lanarkshire.

The post represents an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to have a significant influence in the redesign and ongoing development of either the glaucoma or oculoplastics services, dependent on their field of expertise.

For candidates with a subspecialty interest in glaucoma: we have a highly motivated and skilled non‑medical workforce working in the department and strong links with community optometry, including development of the Community Glaucoma Service.
