Consultant in Palliative Medicine

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join an existing dynamic team of four consultants in the Staffordshire area to expand specialist palliative care services at the University Hospitals of North Midlands. Core responsibilities include:

• Provide specialist palliative advice, outpatient services and inpatient care for 10 palliative medicine beds across both hospital sites.
• Work closely with local hospices and community services.
• Lead undergraduate Palliative Care education at Keele University’s School of Medicine and contribute to curriculum development.
