Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain

We are a department of 60 consultants and 16 SAS doctors and are now looking for new consultants to join our dynamic and rapidly evolving anaesthetic & chronic pain team at York & Scarborough NHS Foundation Trust. Within the Trust we are part of the Surgery Care Group , which includes most surgical specialties.

At York Hospital there are 12 operating theatres in our main suite. We have a dedicated day unit with 6 theatres and an ophthalmology operating area with two theatres. These are supported by two Post‑Anaesthetic Care Units. There are also two separate obstetric theatres. Surgical services currently supported include general surgery (including colorectal and upper GI), orthopaedics and trauma, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, maxillo‑facial, oral surgery, ophthalmology, urology and vascular.
