We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, innovative and progressive Consultant to join our Acute Medical Consultant team at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Cover all areas of Acute Internal Medicine including Acute Medical Unit, Short Stay Unit, Medical SDEC, Virtual Clinics and the Acute Hospital At Home service (EPICENTRE).
• Lead, teach, innovate and continue to develop acute medicine services.
• Participate in research activities.
• Deliver quality improvement projects (QIP) and point‑of‑care ultrasound (POCUS) training.
• Mentor trainees within the AMU Clinical Skills Lab.
• Engage in joint specialty job plans with frailty, intensive care medicine and toxicology as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Substantive Consultant in Acute Internal Medicine.
