Perform professional duties as a gastroenterologist following privileges approved by the Credentials Committee.
Conduct assessment and re‑assessment for all OPD patients on admission and prior to any procedure.
Perform duties in the GI Clinic, evaluating patients with GI diseases.
Execute GI procedures, including upper and lower endoscopies, liver biopsies, E.R.C.P., and esophageal motility studies.
Provide consultation referral services to inpatient services in the area of expertise.
Offer on‑call emergency coverage for GI emergencies after working hours.
Supervise and educate endoscopy staff, nurses, and technicians.
Participate and contribute to all quality assurance activities of the service, such as monthly mortality and morbidity conferences, peer review, audit, and chart review.
