Role Overview

The James Paget University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust seeks a consultant in Gastroenterology for a newly created position. The selected candidate will deliver the Trust’s comprehensive gastroenterology service, including ward management, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy, in collaboration with six existing consultants. The role offers flexibility to incorporate sub‑specialty interests.

Responsibilities

● Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care across all care settings. ● Share responsibility with consultant colleagues for mutual cover of out‑of‑hours duties and leave. ● Offer expert consultation and advisory support to colleagues in other specialties. ● Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to postgraduate education. ● Engage in teaching, audit, research, clinical governance, and continuing professional development in line with Royal College of Physicians requirements. ● Support emergency care, liaison activities...
