Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia with a special interest in paediatric neurosurgery, orthopaedics and paediatric surgery

This post is required to join the paediatric anaesthetic group at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is suitable for a candidate with an interest in anaesthesia for paediatric and neonatal surgery. The role offers opportunities to provide anaesthesia and peri‑operative care for a wide range of procedures in children and neonates, both diagnostic and operative.

Responsibilities

• Fixed theatre days covering paediatric neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general surgery including emergency and neonatal procedures.
• Flexible cover for paediatric lists in all non‑cardiac paediatric specialties.
• On‑call commitment within the paediatric anaesthetic group.
• Primary duty at the Oxford site, with willingness to work at John Radcliffe, Churchill, Horton, and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
