Our anaesthetic and intensive care services at Taupo Hospital deliver high‑quality care. The position is based in the mountain‑biking capital of New Zealand, where the role will support a busy district hospital covering acute and elective theatres.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anaesthesia services for acute pain, birthing, MRI, and the Pre‑Assessment Clinic.
• Respond to trauma calls and deliver clinical management of a six‑bed Intensive Care Unit.
• Deliver elective day‑stay services and a Pre‑Admission Clinic on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completed specialist anaesthetic training (preferably FANZCA).
• Eligibility to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
