Requirements Master’s degree in applied ecology, environmental science, conservation biology or related field Ph D will be an advantage 8+ years of experience in conservation management, in a similar position Experience in veld management, ecological restoration, research programmes and wildlife management in a ‘Big 5’ conservation Strong knowledge of South African ecosystems and biodiversity Solid grasp of the statutory requirements in terms of protected area management, formal assessments, the development of annual work plans and the submission of reports Experience in ecological research and data analysis Excellent communication in English, Afrikaans and Shangaan (advantageous) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in MS Office, GIS and other relevant software such as Earth Ranger Drone and camera trap experience, including using these techno...
