Community Nurse Specialist (Internal Only)

The closing date for applications is 22 June 2026. We are looking for a band 6 Nurse Specialist Community to lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants in Ilfracombe and Braunton Community Nursing Team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a busy team of nurses and healthcare assistants, enabling evidence‑based nursing care to patients in the community nursing caseload.
• Provide clinical practice and act as a point of contact for advice and support for the team, with expertise in wound management, palliative care and promoting patient independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service across the two areas.
• Support students and newly qualified staff in their personal and professional development.
• Commit to a working pattern that may include weekends, bank holidays and regional duties.
