The Community Educator provides instruction and teaching to clients registered in the Community Education Programs of the Division of Women’s Services. The Community Educator represents Ellis Medicine to the community. Community Education is coordinated in accordance with the hospitals’ Mission Statements and Strategic Initiatives and to provide the customers with consistent community education.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
+ The Community Educator requires education credentials appropriate to the class offerings provided to the community. Program offerings include, but are not limited to: Prepared Childbirth, All About Infants, Breastfeeding, Infant Safety and CPR, and Sibling Classes.
+ Professional Certification (Lamaze, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), etc.) required for Childbirth Education
+ Experience and/or education regarding infant care...
