Responsibilities

• Working with and advising corporate clients directly regarding commercial real estate matters, including purchase and sale of commercial property, acquisitions of business with a real estate component, development, and regulatory compliance.
• Drafting and negotiating leases, amendments, assignments, and renewals.
• Assisting with portfolio management and due diligence review, including environmental assessments.

Qualifications

• Based in Ontario with active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario real estate laws.
• 8+ years of experience with the purchase, sale, financing, development and operation of commercial leasing while representing major developers, retailers, financial institutions, lenders or pension funds.
