Responsible for set up, machining and in-process inspection of a variety of items requiring a high degree of skill and proficiency as a machinist. CNC 3 personnel have the ability to machine precision components on a manual or CNC Machine. Position requires the ability to perform a variety of machining duties with no direct supervision.
Responsibilities - Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines at a very high level of proficiency.
- Set up and thread all threads and grades of material that the facility is licensed for on a CNC lathe, with no assistance on setup and first article inspection.
- Obtain required overlays and review first article with no assistance.
- Set up and operate all CNC machines at that facility location.
- Select proper tools and gages for threading or process to be performed.
