<p><strong>Details of the Service</strong></p> <p>At present it is estimated that there are approximately 64,000 people currently living with dementia in Ireland; this number is expected to rise to 150,000 by 2045. Dementia is a life-changing condition and requires responses to support people across the illness trajectory, from the point of concern about cognitive, non-cognitive or behavioural symptoms, to receiving a diagnosis, through to early intervention and the provision of the right care at the right time (Model of Care for Dementia in Ireland, 2023).
