About the role

As a Cover Assessor you are responsible for assessing claims to make cover decisions in accordance with relevant legislation and medical information. You gather information from a wide variety of sources, contacting employers, providers, medical specialists and clients to make sound decisions on cover.

There are multiple areas of cover you can learn: General Cover, Work‑Related Gradual Process, Treatment Injury, Mental Injury, Hearing Loss, Accidental Death.

As a Treatment & Support Assessor

Responsible for assessing requests for treatments and/or supports on claims.

Daily work may include reviewing medical information, relevant legislation and clinical guidance to provide clients with outcomes for claims in areas such as Surgery, Dental, Permanent Injury, Additional Treatment.

In both roles you may need to decline claims that do not meet our legislation and communicate these outcomes to clients. You will be trained to ...
