Overview
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Chief Mechanic to lead maintenance and repair operations for a fleet of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues, supervising repair work, and ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preventive maintenance and major repair work for equipment such as excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, mixer trucks, loaders, and forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with a high level of expertise.
- Lead a team of mechanics and provide hands-on training to junior staff.
- Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with operations for timely servicing and repairs.
- Maintain service records and monitor equipment condition.
