JOB DESCRIPTION: CHEF
FoJo Beans seeks a self-motivated Chef to assume creative responsibility for our culinary creations Wednesday - Sunday 8:30-2:30 (flexible). A keen attention to detail (i.e., following/creating recipes, plating, and cleaning) is essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and prepare high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and maneuver 150 pounds
