Local Facility Chaplain

The Local Facility Chaplain for the Batavia Service Processing Center serves as the primary onsite leader for all religious services. This position provides worship, education, pastoral counseling, and spiritual care to detainees of all faith traditions, ensuring compliance with ICE standards and contractual requirements.

Key duties include:

• Leading worship services, religious education, and holiday observances for detainees.
• Providing pastoral counseling and spiritual support across diverse faiths.
• Conducting weekly rounds in all housing units, including medical and restrictive housing areas.
• Recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers and contractors.
• Serving as primary onsite religious point of contact for ICE staff and detainees.
• Remaining available 24/7 for emergencies and physically reporting onsite within 120 minutes if called.
