Who we are:

Developmental Disabilities Institute, DDI, is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities and other special needs. DDI has been a part of Long Island for over 50 years serving over 1,500 children and adults. DDI provides innovative and expansive services to our populations through various residential services, day habilitation programs and vocational services. 

The Chaperone works alongside a Driver/Transporter assisting in the transport of developmentally disabled individuals, ensuring the safety of all persons on the vehicle.

Please note that a 25hour shift is eligible for health insurance and paid time off benefits through the agency. Also, there may be an opportunity to pick up additional hours in other DDI programs.

Salary: $18.00 - $19.80hour
