Overview

Summary Inspect, maintain, repair, and certify aircrew survival, flight, and protective equipment to ensure operational safety and mission readiness. Perform detailed corrosion treatment, seaming/stitching, fastener replacement, and calendar-based inspections of flight gear and SAR equipment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform preflight, postflight, turnaround, conditional, and scheduled inspections (28-, 30-, 90-, 180-, 182-, 360-, 364-day) on aircrew survival systems.

+ Inspect, maintain and repair flight gear including CMU-33, AE, PRU-70, TRI-SAR vest, and helmets (OTO, HGU-84, HGU-56, HGU-102) and swimmer helmets.

+ Maintain, inspect and repair Search & Rescue equipment and SAR swimmer gear.

+ Sew, stitch, tack materials; install/replace fasteners, grommets, and pop (speedy) rivets; operate and maintain sewing machines and loft equipment.

+ Detect and treat corrosion on flight...
