The Cardiovascular Program Specialist is involved in the coordination and evaluation process from candidate referral, evaluation, acceptance, procedure and follow-up for Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients, Cardiovascular surgery and other CV specialty procedure patients. The incumbent serves as a resource to staff and the multidisciplinary team and community caring for the patient. Demonstrates knowledge and skills in the care of patients with end-stage disease and will play a role in the holistic evaluation of patients.
