Job Summary:

• Works in conjunction with billing office to ensure that appropriate referrals or authorizations have been obtained and documentation completed via EPIC

• Obtains authorization for clinic procedures, insurance verification, maintains referrals work queue and EPIC depot

• Scheduling outpatient procedures, such as: CT, X-rays

• Rooming patients

• Answers the telephone, taking accurate messages, transferring calls to appropriate staff or handles certain calls that are appropriate

• Confirmation calls for all clinic appointments

• Assists with scheduling follow up appointments in the outpatient practice as requested by the procedure practice

• Responsible for chart preparation in EMR system. Reviews the patient orders and makes sure that all pertinent information is available for the provider prior to patient's surgery. (e.g. request...
