Echocardiography Technician

Responsible for performing echocardiography procedures of diagnostic value to be interpreted by a cardiologist and/or another referring physician.

Graduate of AMA approved school CPR Certified Certification in echocardiography or Certification eligible

Minimum of six months preferred certified Echocardiography

Performs all inpatient and outpatient two‐dimensional, m‐mode, color flow and doppler echocardiograms, stress echocardiography, contrast studies, and transesophageal echocardiography.

Achieve and maintain working knowledge and understanding of electrocardiograms, including the performance of blood pressures to aid in the performance of Resting and Stress Echocardiography.

Achieve and maintain working knowledge and understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and procedure protocols and contrast imaging utilization.

Achieve and maintain working knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
