ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.


+ Drives a school bus safely and professionally.

+ Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections.

+ Reports any mechanical defect to immediate superior.

+ Checks and fills vehicle with fuel.

+ Instructs or informs passengers about safety practices when entering and/or leaving bus.

+ Maintains orderly conduct of passengers while on bus.

+ May clean interior and exterior of assigned vehicle.

+ May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle.

+ May be required to administer first aid to passengers injured on bus.

+ May install and remove tire chains when necessary.

+ Complies with all traffic ordinances.

+ Complies with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation.

+ Participates in on-site training.
