Works under supervision of the Chief Strategy Officer and assists with sport coverage as assigned. This includes following all policies and procedures. Responsible for the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries under the direction of the Appalachian State University Team Physicians. Supervises and evaluates athletic training students. Serve as a liaison between coaches, student-athletes, physicians, and parents. Responsible for completing insurance claims and performing related record keeping not limited to, but to include seeking authorizations from student-athlete's. Maintain continuing education according to the requirements of the Board of Certification and the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners.
