The role is open to both an experienced Associate Veterinarian and New Graduate. The hospital primarily sees dogs and cats, with the space and willingness to see exotics, including training and equipment investment available if a veterinarian has an interest in developing this area. The practice is also open to expanding into mixed animal medicine for a veterinarian who wishes to pursue this, particularly to support the local community, which includes many small farms and FFA students.
