Assistant Teaching Professor in Music Education and Music Therapy Position Overview The University of Kansas School of Music seeks a full‐time, academic‐year (nine‐month) faculty position to teach undergraduate group piano classes beginning on August 18, 2026. The appointment is at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor (non‐tenure track). The successful candidate will teach multiple sections of undergraduate piano skills classes and collaborate with Area Coordinators for Music Education and Music Therapy to develop a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the professional needs of students. This is a three‐year appointment; subsequent appointments may be offered pending a satisfactory performance evaluation and approval of the Dean of Music.
