**Georgia Power is seeking experienced Apprentice Lineman candidates for statewide employment in Transmission construction. This position requires prior transmission line work experience and basic knowledge of wire pulling equipment and procedures. The Apprentice lineman will also be required to pass a pre- employment evaluation and demonstrate that he/she possesses the common skills, knowledge, and physical ability required to be successful in this position. This job requires weekly travel, and all travel expenses and hotel cost are the responsibility of the employee and a daily per diem (allowance) will be provided to help cover these costs. The current rate is $178 a day for those employees accruing overnight lodging and working 50 miles from their home.
