Overview

Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) is a busy diagnostic facility providing services to in‑patients and out‑patients at Health NZ Hospitals within Christchurch. It is the largest medical laboratory in the South Island and a major secondary/tertiary referral centre with a varied and challenging caseload. The lab is modern and well equipped.

Role

As a key player in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) team, you will support the LIS, develop code, and maintain the LIS work plan. You will also work closely with CHL and its LabNet partners to further develop and deliver changes to the LIS.

Responsibilities

• Code development for the LIS
• Application support and troubleshooting
• Modify protocols and configuration
• Discover, analyse options and develop requirements for business needs
• HL7 messaging and integration
