Job Description:

Writing support tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups with undergraduate students. Tutors assist students by leading them to a greater understanding of their writing by demonstrating how to identify and correct writing weaknesses, and empowering students to begin editing and revising on their own for success in future writing projects.This position would be available on both the Toledo and Findlay campuses, please indicate in the application questions which campus you would be able to teach at.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of student-centered tutoring strategies.

Must be knowledgeable of writing practices, developmental writing and composition curriculum standards and writing formats. Experience tutoring and/or teaching at the college level is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills are necessary.
