Role and Facility

We are seeking two full-time General Anesthesiologists to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre. The vacancies arose due to planned increases in elective surgical volumes and staffing changes.

ARHCC is a regional referral and level II trauma centre. We have 15 full‑time FTE Anesthesiologists covering most surgeries typical of a regional hospital, including General Surgery, Obstetrics (approximately 2,700 births per year), Gynecology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Vascular and Dental. Cardiac, Thoracic and Neurosurgery are not performed.

Anesthesiologists are expected to anesthetise pediatric patients aged 4 years and over for elective cases, occasional 2–4 year olds for emergencies, and provide rare airway assistance with neonatal intubations.

We run 7–8 operating rooms for urgent and elective surgery on weekdays; 5 ORs until 1500 hrs, 1 OR until 1700 hrs and emergency surgery after hours. We also run 1–...
