Position Summary Incumbents in this job family have responsibilities encompassing one or more areas of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and/or Billing.
- Process receivables, ensuring timely and accurate charge entries and preparing deposits
- Maintain accounts and records in various accounting functions
- Collect and analyze financial data and prepare reports and recommendations
- Review, verify and approve transactions and journal entries
- Prepare income and balance sheet, profit and loss, consolidated and other accounting statements
- Code, enter and prepare invoices, and respond to customer and vendor inquiries
- Review invoices and ensure proper approvals
- Record, enter and pay invoices
- Analyze account performance, make recommendations to release orders on past due accounts and investigate bankruptcy claims
