Description

The Allied Music Therapist will independently plan and facilitate music therapy groups, document client progress, and attend treatment team meetings. Draws from research in the field and previous experience to independently design therapeutic musical tasks that meet a variety of needs, interests, and abilities. Facilitates music therapy groups using a variety of methods. Assesses client needs and interests as well as musical and non-musical behaviors at outset of treatment and establish individual therapeutic goals. Plans, reviews, and assesses therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness as well as aid planning for future sessions.
