Advanced Pharmacist – Cancer

The Cancer Pharmacist Team at UHDB has long held a high reputation for its proactive and innovative work, effective use of cutting‑edge technology, and an unparalleled responsiveness to implementing new treatments into the Trust.

Working across multiple sites, the team has embraced true collaborative cross‑site working, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy in an outpatient and inpatient setting.

The team also comprises several non‑medical prescribers supporting clinicians in chemotherapy clinics, independently prescribing SACT, managing toxicities and providing support and advice to patients. Their contribution to the service has reduced clinician workload, reduced waiting times, and improved patient experience.
